Last year, we asked and you responded. Our 2008 masters.com patrons provided many wonderful suggestions to help grow the game internationally and get more youngsters excited about golf. We heard you and, in 2009, would love to hear more. Below is a selection of the thousands of great ideas you brought to our attention, and we’d like to learn more from you, our patrons. Ideas can be submitted until June 1, 2009. DO MORE TO PROMOTE AMATEUR GOLF THROUGHOUT THE WORLD.Earlier this year, The Asia Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC), the Masters Tournament, and The R&A announced the creation of the Asian Amateur Championship as part of a partnership committed to promoting the game of golf in the Asia-Pacific region. We would like to hear your thoughts on: What could be done to make the Asian Amateur Championship an unforgettable experience for both players and patrons? CREATE OPPORTUNITIES TO ENGAGE A NEW AUDIENCE TO THE GAME OF GOLF.DEVISE A WAY TO PLAY THE GAME IN A MORE COST AND TIME EFFECTIVE MANNER.One of the great ideas you, our patrons, suggested in 2008 was to devise a way to play the game in a more cost- and time-effective manner, possibly through the development of "short courses." We would like to hear your thoughts on: What makes playing a "short course" fun for you? What programs would you like to see included in a "short course" experience? How long should this experience take? PROVIDE YOUTH MORE ACCESS TO THE GAME OF GOLF.Last year, we began the Junior Pass Program which enables an accredited Patron the opportunity to bring a junior (age 8-16) to each of the four Tournament days to experience the Masters. We would like to hear your thoughts on: How could the Junior Pass program be expanded to expose more youngsters to the game of golf? |
