(13, 14, 16, 17, 18) Collected five top-10s in 2008, most impressively at the PGA (T2) and British Open (T7). Also earned a berth on the Ryder Cup Team for the first time. Captured the 2003 British Open at Royal St. George's in his first major tournament start of his career. First player since Francis Ouimet at the 1913 US Open to accomplish that feat. Victory moved him from 396 to 35 in the World Golf Ranking, the largest jump since the ranking began in 1986. Voted PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year. Three-time Ohio Amateur champion and All-America selection at Kent State. Sixth Masters appearance.
