(17) Collected nine top 25s in 2008 including a T2 at the Heritage with four rounds in the 60s. Also finished T9 at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship, T10 at the BMW Championship and T13 at the PGA. Defended his title successfully at the 2000 Australian Open. At the 1999 event he became the first amateur to take the title since Bruce Devlin in 1960. In 2000, he topped the PGA TOUR of Australasia Order of Merit. In 1999, was the first amateur to receive a special invitation to the Masters in 25 years. Fifth Masters appearance.
