(17, 18) Three-time winner on the Japan Golf Tour in 2008 bringing his career total to 26. Ended the season leading the JGT money list for the fifth time in his career. Won two JGT events in 2007 and three in 2006. Has been in the top four of the season ending JGT money list since 2000. Earned a special invitation to compete in the 2005 Masters. Finished T4 at the 2001 PGA Championship. In 2000, won three starts in four weeks to capture the JGTs money title. At age 27 he was the youngest earnings leader since 26-year-old Jumbo Ozaki in 1973. Eighth Masters appearance.
