Birdie Time

The tournament has only just begun, but there are already signs that Augusta National’s teeth may not be quite as sharp this year, thanks to some superb weather and terrific playing conditions.Which means we might hear lots of roars this week after all, especially as it is expected to be warm and sunny the rest of the way.
Check out Chad Campbell, who birdied his first five holes today. Or Shingo Katayama, who birdied 12, 13 and 15 to get to five under as well. Tim Clark went three-under on the back to finish with a 68, while Englishman Ross Fisher was five under before bogeying 17 and 18 to end the day three-under. And Angel Cabrera was four under after No. 8, before giving one back at the 9th.
Some birdies are being made out there. And the tweet-tweets sound pretty good.
