Azaleas on the course

Azaleas on the Augusta National Golf Course

How come you never see divots here? Where do they go? Are there divot gnomes?

How Masters -- like to save the best for last.

No turtles sunning themselves on the banks of the 15th and 16th ponds. What? They had a better offer?

The rise of elevation on both 17 and 18 is much more severe than indicated on your television. Proving the old adage that anything worth winning is worth climbing uphill for. Is that an adage? Should be.

The Arnold Palmer fountain behind the 16th tee saved my life today.

Something you never want to hear but especially not today: "You're still away."

The 11th tee. The loneliest spot on the course. And a beautiful shaded glen.

Seeing that Phil Mickleson held on, that makes 19 of the last 20 Masters winners coming out of the final pairing. If Saturday is Moving Day, Sunday must be Not Moving Day.

The English radio guy on the top row of the Press Arena goes crazy whenever Lee Westwood makes a putt. Phil Mickleson, not so much.

The respect shown Tiger Woods this week is a testament to the professionalism of the patrons here. Hope the galleries at Pebble, St. Andrew's and Whistling Straits perform half as well.

I'm not saying this Tournament is influential here, but their single A baseball team is called the Augusta Green Jackets.

Note to the guy walking by the 6th green in the pink jacket and paisley shorts. You sir, are a brave man.

Don't tell anybody, but I'm sneaking a pimento cheese sandwich home with me.

Remember, it's never a whole year before the world turns its eyes to Augusta Georgia once more. We'll see you back here for the 75th Masters Tournament Diamond Jubilee. I vow to be back either as a return blogger for Masters.com or as an apprentice divot gnome.
